RadioBOSS is Windows software for automating terrestrial and Internet radio broadcasts. It is designed for radio stations and venues such as clubs, bars, restaurants, casinos, and shops that need continuous playback, scheduled programming, and live broadcast controls. Its feature set covers playlist generation, music library management, automatic crossfading, volume leveling, advertising scheduling, metadata updates, and microphone or line-input control. Once configured, it can operate unattended for 24/7 broadcasting.
Pricing uses perpetual licenses rather than recurring use licenses. RadioBOSS Standard costs $199 one-time and includes audio playback, playlist scheduling, Internet streaming, and automatic crossfading. Advanced costs $249 one-time and adds video playback and dayparting. Ultimate costs $299 one-time and adds remote voice tracking and a virtual mixer board. Optional annual updates and support renewals cost $85 for Standard, $95 for Advanced, or $105 for Ultimate. The tier structure is straightforward: choose Standard for audio-focused automation, Advanced for video and dayparting, or Ultimate for remote production tools.
RadioBOSS fits broadcasters that want a focused Windows automation system with several output and control options. It supports Shoutcast, Icecast, Windows Media Server, and RTMP streaming, including RTMP output with image or video backgrounds; its documentation names YouTube for RTMP use. Metadata export, now-playing updates, an advertising scheduler, reporting, and a remote control API extend its usefulness beyond basic playback. The tradeoff is platform scope: organizations standardizing on macOS or another operating system should look elsewhere. RadioBOSS is a strong match for established Windows-based radio workflows, but less suitable for buyers seeking a free plan or broader platform coverage.
