R-Wipe & Clean is desktop privacy and data-erasure software for Windows and macOS. It is designed for individuals and teams that need to remove selected files, folders, free disk space, NTFS MFT records, browser traces, application traces, and other system data. Users can build predefined or custom wipe lists, then run tasks manually, on a schedule, or when system events occur. The free Lite version focuses on essential system and personal trace cleaning, while the broader product supports more types of wiping and activity logging.

Its strongest technical distinction is the range of cleanup targets and controls. File and folder shredding can be combined with free-space wiping on one or more disks and NTFS MFT record wiping. Multiple overwrite algorithms are available, including DoD and Peter Gutmann methods. SSD-aware wiping behavior, detailed logs, and File Explorer integration add practical controls for routine desktop cleanup. This makes the product a good fit when scheduled shredding and privacy-trace removal matter alongside individual file deletion.

The published plans show a freemium model with a 30-day fully functional trial. After the trial, the Windows version becomes the free Lite version. Standalone and Corporate plans provide lifetime licenses for a personal computer, workstation, or server, depending on the tier. The Technician plan costs $168 one-time and can serve computers within a home network or organization, including temporary installation on served computers. The Commercial plan costs $298 one-time for commercial servicing of storage devices and systems. Choose R-Wipe & Clean for scheduled, logged cleanup across Windows and macOS; choose an alternative if your priority is drive wiping rather than file, free-space, and trace removal.
