QuickCloud Enterprise Smart DNS is an authoritative DNS service for managing zones and records, aimed at websites, applications and other DNS-based services. It is a fit for teams running multiple destinations that want DNS-level traffic distribution or failover, including small teams seeking a low-cost starting point. Management is available through the web, API and command-line tool, with compatible AI assistants supported through MCP.

Pricing is per zone: the first DNS zone is free, additional zones cost £0.34 per zone per month, and geographic routing is an optional £1.49 per zone per month. According to the vendor's pricing details, charges are billed hourly from QuickCloud credit and exclude VAT. The paid rates make it possible to add zones without paying for geographic routing, while country-based routing carries a separate charge. Teams should account for both the per-zone structure and the optional routing price when estimating cost.

The core feature set centers on DNS-level distribution and availability: weighted traffic routing, health checks for configured destinations, automatic exclusion of unhealthy destinations from eligible DNS responses, and failover to healthy alternatives. DNS query statistics are also included. QuickHost says routing decisions are made at the authoritative DNS layer rather than through an Anycast service, and describes geographic routing by visitor country. This makes the service suitable for buyers who need straightforward DNS controls and failover, but teams requiring Anycast or documented latency-based routing should consider alternatives. Its routing range is focused rather than broad.
