Qpoint provides Qtap, a Linux-based eBPF agent for capturing application network traffic and adding connection, HTTP/S, process, container, and protocol context. It is designed for infrastructure, platform, security, and observability teams investigating service connections and API traffic. The product supports standalone YAML deployments and cloud-managed operation through Qplane, with web and Linux platform coverage. Its open-source, hybrid deployment model and free Community plan make it suitable for teams that need network visibility without starting with a paid tier.

Network telemetry is Qpoint’s clearest strength. Qtap captures traffic before encryption and supports process and container attribution, while a browser-based local interface provides traffic inspection. The platform can expose network-level OpenTelemetry logs and traces, Prometheus-compatible metrics, and exports to S3-compatible object storage. Docker deployment, Kubernetes support, and Helm deployment help it fit containerized environments. These capabilities make Qpoint more focused than a broad observability suite: it is a strong match for tracing application network behavior, but teams seeking wider infrastructure or application observability may need additional tooling.

The Community plan includes endpoint agent discovery, attributed agent activity monitoring, built-in policy plugins, and community support. Team adds a shared workspace, custom policy plugins, SIEM and observability exports, usage and cost reporting, plus email and chat support. Enterprise adds compliance reports, product embedding, SSO and RBAC, and 24/7 support with onboarding. Team and Enterprise are available through contact sales rather than published paid amounts. Choose Qpoint when network-level context, OpenTelemetry output, and Kubernetes deployment are priorities; choose an alternative when the primary requirement is a broader full-observability platform.
