QILAK Dedicated Servers review
Flexible Toronto bare metal for teams that need root access and remote control.

QILAK Dedicated Servers provides single-tenant bare-metal hosting from Toronto, Canada. It is aimed at businesses, developers, and communities that want direct server administration, Canadian data residency, and dedicated hardware rather than shared infrastructure. Customers can choose from HP, Intel, and AMD server configurations, with support for full root or administrative access, IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, and custom operating system installation. The service runs on the web and supports small, mid-market, and enterprise organizations.
Remote administration is a central strength. IPMI remote management, remote power control, and out-of-band KVM console access where supported give administrators ways to manage servers without relying solely on an in-band network connection. The service also offers 1 Gbps unmetered bandwidth, eight IPv4 addresses, and DDoS protection. These capabilities fit infrastructure workloads that require control over the operating system and hardware environment, while optional managed monitoring, patching, and backups provide a path for teams that do not want every operational task to remain in-house.
The main trade-off is focus: QILAK offers a Toronto-only hosting footprint, so it is better suited to Canadian residency requirements or workloads that can operate from one region than to globally distributed deployments. The plans are paid, billed month to month in CAD, and include both unmanaged operation and a hybrid managed option. Backup services are optional, so backup planning remains an explicit purchasing decision. Choose QILAK when root access, remote hardware control, unmetered bandwidth, and Toronto hosting matter most; consider a broader provider when multi-region placement is a primary requirement.
