PulseBoard review
An all-in-one PromQL platform with broad observability and operations coverage.

PulseBoard is a full-stack observability platform for teams monitoring infrastructure and applications. It brings together metrics ingestion, PromQL querying, logs, traces, dashboards, alert routing, on-call rotations, synthetic uptime probes, public status pages, GitOps configuration, cost attribution, cardinality controls, and AI-assisted in-process spike analysis. Teams can connect AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Mimir, and several incident, messaging, ticketing, and email services. Deployment options include hosted cloud and a self-hosted MIT-licensed edge runtime.
The platform’s breadth is its clearest strength. Metrics can arrive through Prometheus remote_write, OTLP/HTTP, native JSON, or Loki push ingestion, while traces support service maps and per-trace waterfalls. Dashboards provide 26 panel types, variables, repeats, and share links. Operations features include alert silences, inhibition, mute windows, on-call rotations, HTTP, TCP, and DNS probes, plus public status pages backed by metric thresholds and synthetic checks. GitOps reconciliation with YAML or Terraform HCL export also fits teams managing configuration as code.
Pricing starts with the paid Basic tier, which includes 50 GiB ingest, 20 GiB logs, 100k active series, 10M spans, and 3 seats. Pro increases those allowances to 250 GiB ingest, 100 GiB logs, 500k active series, 50M spans, and 10 seats. Enterprise adds custom pricing, unlimited tiers and contract caps, SSO, SCIM, audit export, and self-hosted or dedicated edge deployment. PulseBoard suits teams that want one PromQL-centered system across telemetry and incident response. Teams seeking only focused metrics monitoring, or a hosted free starting point, should look elsewhere.
PulseBoard pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Combines metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and on-call workflows
- Supports PromQL, multiple ingestion methods, GitOps, and self-hosted deployment
- Adds probes, status pages, cost attribution, cardinality controls, and AI analysis
- Where it doesn't
- No hosted free plan is available
- Enterprise pricing is custom rather than published
- Its broad scope may exceed the needs of metrics-only teams
