Our verdict on Proxi
Proxi is a browser-based map creation platform for organizations, communities, tourism teams, event organizers, directories, and content creators. It combines interactive maps with searchable directories, community event calendars, mobile guides, passport programs, and scavenger hunts. Teams can add locations manually or import spreadsheets, text, images, PDFs, URLs, and prompts, then publish maps through links, QR codes, website embeds, or print. Its strongest fit is for branded, location-focused experiences rather than simple point-on-a-map projects.
The platform covers the core publishing and customization work expected from a map builder. Custom branding includes logos, colors, fonts, icons, and backgrounds, while filters, shapes, routing, custom fields, analytics, and CSV export support more structured directories. Crowdsourced point submissions can be moderated through approval controls, making Proxi relevant for community-led maps and public-facing directories. Integrations with Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Notion, and Make extend its fit across website and workflow ecosystems. AI-assisted point generation and geocoding can also help turn supplied content into map entries.
Proxi uses a freemium structure with Free, Proxi Pro, and Proxi Premium plans, and each plan includes a 7-day free trial. The Free plan provides access to experiment with the platform. Proxi Pro adds interactive maps, directory tools, a community event calendar, spreadsheet management, and email, chat, and scheduled-call support. Proxi Premium adds mobile guides, passport events, scavenger hunts, audience messaging, and API key access. Paid plan costs are determined through a pricing calculator. Choose Proxi for branded directories, community submissions, event discovery, or guided location experiences; choose another tool if you need a simpler map builder without tiered community and directory features.
