ProProfs Knowledge Base is a hosted platform for publishing public help centers, product documentation, user manuals, and private internal knowledge bases. Customer support, product, IT, HR, and technical teams can manage external and employee-facing documentation from one account. Its feature set covers article authoring, templates, custom branding, custom domains, access controls, version history, analytics, and AI capabilities including article drafting, rewriting, translation, semantic search, and content-gap reporting.
Pricing is split between external-author and internal-user plans. The Free plan supports one author and up to 25 pages forever. External plans start with Essentials at $49 per author per month, billed annually, for one site and 300 pages; Business is $69 for three sites and 500 pages; Business Complete Elite is $79 with unlimited sites and pages, plus SSO and integrations. Internal plans start at $0.99 per user per month, billed annually, with a 50-user minimum. Business costs $1.99 and Business Complete Elite costs $2.99, adding more sites, SSO, workflows, unlimited pages, departments, advanced security, and support. A Customer Delight Suite combines the knowledge base with help desk, chat, and AI tools for $499 per month on annual plans.
Platform coverage includes web, iOS, Android, Windows, and API access. Integrations include Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Slack, Jira, and several chat tools, giving support and service teams room to connect documentation with their existing workflow. Import support for Word, PDF, and PowerPoint can help teams bring in existing material. ProProfs fits teams that want public and private documentation, customization, and AI-assisted search at a controlled cost. Teams needing a larger free content allowance or lower-cost external publishing may prefer an alternative.
