Our verdict on Proloquo4Text
Proloquo4Text is a text-based augmentative and alternative communication app for children, teenagers and adults who cannot speak or whose speech is difficult to understand. Users compose messages with an on-screen keyboard, then communicate through text-to-speech output. Word and sentence prediction, saved phrases, Quick Blocks and abbreviation expansion support message creation, while Speak as You Type provides speech feedback. Access methods include touch, Assistive Touch, Switch Control, VoiceOver, eye tracking and head tracking.
