Process Lasso is Windows software for controlling and automating running applications and system processes. It is designed for users who want persistent CPU affinities, priorities, power profiles, process rules, and resource-management algorithms in one product. The published platform coverage includes Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, plus Windows Server 2012-2025. An optional graphical interface and background Process Governor service support different management styles, from interactive control to ongoing background enforcement.

Pricing is freemium, with a free edition available indefinitely and advanced features limited after a trial period. The paid Single PC plans cost $4.95 per month, $24.95 per year, or $39.95 one time, with home or commercial use and, on the lifetime plan, all updates forever. Entire Home plans cost $5.95 per month, $36.95 per year, or $59.95 one time. They cover up to 5 PCs with the same owner, are for non-commercial use only, and the lifetime option includes all updates forever. A 30-day free trial is also available.

Its standout capability is automated response to process behavior. Process Watchdog rules can act when CPU or memory thresholds are exceeded, including restarting or terminating a process, logging activity, changing affinity, or running an external command. ProBalance adds CPU-priority optimization, while CPU Limiter, instance balancing, power-plan automation, application power profiles, and persistent rules broaden the control surface. Process activity logging supports review, and the Background Process Governor service can apply management without relying on the graphical interface. Choose Process Lasso if you need detailed, automated Windows process control; choose another category fit if you require support beyond Windows.
