Our verdict on PrivMail
PrivMail is a paid privacy-focused email service for people who want separate inboxes for signups, projects, research, browsing, and other activities. Each subscription provides an isolated @priv-mail.com address, a 5GB mailbox, and secure webmail access. Anonymous registration without identity verification helps users separate an email identity from their public footprint. The service also states that it avoids advertising, behavioral profiling, and unnecessary email metadata collection for delivery.
Pricing is offered in four plans. Monthly costs $12.95 per user per month and includes the 5GB mailbox, @priv-mail.com address, secure webmail access, and subscription cancellation through the account dashboard. Quarterly costs $29.99 per user per 3 months, Semiannual costs $55.99 per user per 6 months, and Annual costs $95.99 per user per year. The longer billing options include the mailbox, address, and webmail access. The published plans show a paid-only service, so PrivMail fits users who specifically value isolated private inboxes over a no-cost entry tier.
Privacy controls are the main point of distinction. PrivMail describes encrypted message transfers, controlled retention policies, minimal metadata collection for delivery, and no advertising or behavioral profiling. Its scope is narrower than an email platform built around integrations or domain management: access is through the web, and the service does not offer custom domains or integrations. Encryption is described for transfers rather than as verified end-to-end encryption. Choose PrivMail for anonymous, separated inboxes and privacy-focused webmail; choose an alternative if you need a free plan, broader ecosystem connections, custom domains, or verified end-to-end encryption.
