Our verdict on PreVeil
PreVeil brings end-to-end encrypted email, file storage, and collaboration to individuals, businesses, and government organizations. It is aimed at teams handling sensitive information in areas such as defense, healthcare, legal, education, and finance. Users can preserve existing email addresses while accessing the service through the web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Its core scope covers encrypted messages, file sharing, external-recipient email relay, selective sync, cloud lock, and controls for expiration and revocation.
Platform fit is a central strength. PreVeil connects with Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail, while Windows Explorer, Mac Finder, and browser access support encrypted file workflows. Mobile apps extend access to iOS and Android devices. The Basic plan includes end-to-end email and file encryption, 5 GB of encrypted storage, data restoration, desktop mail integrations, and mobile access. Individual adds 5 TB of encrypted storage and free accounts for third parties. This structure suits teams that need encrypted communication without replacing familiar mail applications.
Organizations with governance requirements get a deeper administrative layer in the higher tiers. Business adds an admin console, system logs, Trusted Community DLP, Approval Groups, priority support, and a dedicated customer success team. Gov Community adds support for CMMC, DFARS 7012, and ITAR compliance, along with FedRAMP Moderate Equivalent, FIPS 140-3 validation, AWS GovCloud storage, and Compliance Accelerator. PreVeil Pass includes three Gov Community licenses and one-to-one compliance support. Choose PreVeil for encrypted email and file controls across established platforms; teams seeking an open-source service or only basic personal email may need a different fit.
