Our verdict on eclipso Mail Europe
eclipso Mail Europe is a private email and productivity service for individuals, families and businesses that want email alongside calendars, contacts, tasks, notes and cloud storage. Its Freemail plan includes 4 GB of storage, one email address, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, CalDAV/CardDAV, a calendar and organizer, plus spam and virus protection. The service supports OpenPGP and S/MIME end-to-end email encryption, two-factor authentication and access through web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. It operates from Germany and states that its servers are located there.
The published plans show a broad progression without a high starting price. Connect costs EUR 1.49 per month and includes 20 GB of total storage and 11 email addresses. Premium costs EUR 2.99 per month, adds 40 GB of storage, 25 email addresses, WebDAV and 200 credits per month. Business costs EUR 5.99 per month and includes 100 GB of total storage, 51 email addresses, WebDAV and one custom mail domain. MailSpace add-ons provide 25 GB, 50 GB or 100 GB of additional storage with lifetime duration and no recurring costs. The free tier suits basic personal use, while the paid plans add capacity, addresses and business-oriented features.
Compatibility is a strong part of the service. IMAP, POP3 and SMTP support connects it with Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird and Apple Mail, while CalDAV and CardDAV support calendar and contact synchronization. WebDAV extends the cloud-storage side beyond email. That combination makes eclipso Mail Europe a sensible choice for users seeking a German private-mail suite that works across established clients and platforms. Businesses needing a customer-owned external domain should choose Business, and buyers specifically seeking an open-source or AI-enabled service should consider an alternative.
