Press Mage provides single-site WordPress hosting for agencies, businesses, and teams that want control over their hosting stack. Plans use either NGINX or OpenLiteSpeed and include a service dashboard for domains, logs, restarts, and storage tools. SSL certificate provisioning and renewal, server-level security protections, and access options such as SSH, SFTP, WP-CLI, and Composer support technical workflows. Agencies can also package the hosting into branded client care plans.

Pricing is split across unmanaged, semi-managed, and managed tiers. Apprentice and Spark plans start at $14 per month monthly, or $12 per month with annual billing; Apprentice uses NGINX, while Spark uses OpenLiteSpeed. These entry plans include infrastructure management, dashboard access, SSL provisioning, security protections, and customer-managed WordPress updates. Journeyman Semi Managed costs $39 monthly or $33 per month annually and adds WordPress updates and care, security and backup support, and a growth-ready support level. Archmage Managed costs $69 monthly or $58 per month annually, with stronger site care coverage, backup and security support, performance-oriented management, and higher-tier business support.

The platform’s main distinction is the combination of hosting flexibility and WordPress maintenance workflows. A web application firewall uses ModSecurity and the OWASP Core Rule Set, while optional daily backups, Valkey object caching, and a global CDN can extend the service. The trade-off is that backups and CDN delivery are not standard on the cheapest hosting plans, and the entry tiers leave WordPress updates to the customer. Press Mage suits technically capable users, agencies, and teams choosing between NGINX and OpenLiteSpeed; buyers wanting fully managed maintenance from the lowest-priced tier should consider a higher plan.
