Polyaxon review
A broad Kubernetes MLOps platform with strong governance, but a high paid entry point.

Polyaxon is an AI engineering control plane for teams that build, train, serve, and operate machine-learning workloads on Kubernetes. It brings experiment tracking, workflow orchestration, model and artifact registries, scheduling, observability, governance, and deployment workflows into one platform. Data science, machine-learning engineering, and platform teams can use it through the web, API, or self-hosted deployment. A free Community Edition is available on an open-source core, while academic access is provided through a free Platform plan for eligible users.
Pricing separates the free options from capacity and team-management features. The Platform plan costs $555 per month and includes core features, 3 developer seats with expansion up to 6, 1 compute cluster with expansion up to 2, 10 queues with expansion up to 50, 50 concurrent runs with expansion up to 1000, and 5 active schedules with expansion up to 50. Teams costs $1,500 per month and adds advanced restrictions, teams management, a 3-month audit trail, and priority support. Enterprise adds custom deployment and scale, custom policies, RBAC and ACL, custom audit retention, custom support and uptime SLAs, SSO/SAML, and enterprise integrations. Additional capacity is available through a $125-per-month Usage plan and a $600-per-month additional compute cluster.
The platform’s main strength is breadth across the machine-learning lifecycle. It supports metric, parameter, artifact, visualization, and lineage tracking; side-by-side comparisons; query-based run filtering; DAG pipelines; hyperparameter sweeps; model versioning; lifecycle stages; access controls; model, API, and batch serving; and Kubernetes scheduling for distributed workloads, notebooks, services, and batch jobs. Integrations include PyTorch, TensorFlow, JupyterLab, TensorBoard, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Slack, and major data and workflow systems. Choose Polyaxon when Kubernetes control, governance, reproducibility, and multi-stage operations matter together. Teams seeking a narrower experiment tracker or a lower paid starting cost should consider alternatives.
