Our verdict on Poised
Poised is an AI communication coach for professionals who want feedback while speaking in meetings, presentations, sales calls, and interviews. Its coaching covers filler words, pace, energy, confidence, empathy, clarity, conciseness, hedging words, and interruptions. Alongside live feedback, it provides speaker notes, meeting summaries, action items, personalized suggestions, learning content, trend analysis, configurable feedback meters, intelligent alerts, and meeting recording controls. Poised runs on macOS and Windows and is designed to operate privately without joining meetings as a bot.
Pricing is centered on Pro, which costs $19 per month with monthly billing or $13 per month when billed annually. Both versions include real-time meeting feedback, macOS and Windows support, and feedback on conciseness, hedging words, interruptions, and filler words. Team adds multiple members and priority support. Shortcut is a Mac-only option with an AI assistant, unlimited dictations with AI-polished rewrites, and custom styles. Communication Coach Pro is also shown at $19 per month monthly or $13 per month annually, with unlimited meetings, real-time meeting feedback, and macOS and Windows support. There is no free plan.
The product fits people who want immediate guidance during online conversations and a record of communication patterns over time, particularly across Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Its desktop-only coverage narrows the audience, while the plan lineup separates meeting coaching from dictation and team features. The most significant consideration is availability: Poised’s homepage announces that the service is scheduled to shut down on October 8, 2026. For anyone evaluating a tool for ongoing use beyond that date, this planned shutdown makes Poised a poor fit; it is more suitable only for users whose needs fall before the stated end date.
