Plixer Replicator review
A focused telemetry distributor for teams sending flow data to multiple collectors.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Plixer Replicator is a network telemetry distribution appliance for network operations and security teams that need to duplicate and forward flow data to multiple collectors. It supports NetFlow, IPFIX, sFlow, syslog, and SNMP traps, with virtual, hardware, cloud, and headless deployment options. Teams can use it alongside monitoring, SIEM, NDR, and analytics systems, including Plixer Scrutinizer, to distribute UDP-based metadata across their environments.
The published plan is a Replicator subscription with subscription licensing, product updates, and customer support included. Pricing is based on replication rate, and the annual subscription requires contacting sales. There is no free plan. For platform fit, Replicator provides a REST API for replication management and supports high-availability pairs, making it suitable for environments that need controlled telemetry distribution across several destinations. Its integrations include Plixer Scrutinizer, SIEM platforms, and NDR systems.
Its strongest capability is policy-driven replication. Exporter-, destination-port-, and profile-based policies let teams control how telemetry moves between exporters and collectors, while exporter, collector, profile, and topology monitoring provides operational visibility. Reports cover average packets and bytes in and out over time, and real-time alarms identify traffic drops and irregularities. Replicator is a focused choice for distributing flow metadata, but it is not designed to provide application visibility or conversation analysis. Choose it when collector distribution, policy control, and telemetry operations are the priority; choose another product when analysis of applications or network conversations is required.

- Focused on telemetry distribution rather than traffic analysis
