Plesk is a web hosting control panel for hosting providers, developers, IT administrators, agencies, and web professionals. Its centralized dashboard brings together website, domain, DNS, email, database, application, user, subscription, server, backup, and security management. It supports Linux and Windows server environments, with web, API, and self-hosted access. The scope suits teams managing multiple hosting services from one administrative layer rather than users seeking a narrowly focused website tool.
The three paid editions scale primarily by domain capacity and WordPress tooling. Web Admin Edition costs €6.60 per month on annual billing and includes up to 10 domains, Sitejet Builder, WP Toolkit SE, subscription management, account management, and reseller management. Web Pro Edition costs €9.90 per month on annual billing, raises capacity to up to 30 domains, and includes WP Toolkit. Web Host Edition costs €16.50 per month on annual billing and supports unlimited domains. A 14-day trial is available, but there is no permanent free plan.
Plesk’s breadth is its defining strength. DNS and DNSSEC, hosted email and webmail, database-to-website linking, scheduled incremental backups, guided application installation, and WordPress staging, cloning, updates, backups, and security are covered in the platform. Command-line and XML API access add options for administration and automation, while integrations include AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Vultr, Git, Docker, NGINX, Let’s Encrypt, and CloudLinux. Choose Plesk when centralized, multi-service hosting administration matters; consider a narrower tool if you only need basic site management or do not want annual paid licensing.
