Our verdict on PledgeAthon
PledgeAthon is an online a-thon fundraising platform for schools, PTAs, sports teams, churches, nonprofits, and similar organizations. It is aimed at small groups that want to run pledge campaigns without a platform or monthly charge. Organizers can upload participant rosters in bulk by CSV, then give participants individual donation pages to share by link or QR code. Campaigns can collect flat or per-activity pledges, making the platform suited to activities where supporters pledge based on participation as well as to simpler fixed pledges.
The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes unlimited fundraisers and participants, with no platform fee or monthly charge. Donors can pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay; standard Stripe processing applies to card donations. Organizers can also record cash and check donations, which have no processing fees. Stripe handles payouts to an organization's bank account. This pricing structure keeps the platform charge at zero, but groups should account for payment processing on card gifts when estimating what they will receive.
