Our verdict on PlanA

PlanA is an open-source project management platform for software teams using Scrum, Kanban, or Shape Up. It brings planning, execution, and reporting into one workspace through dependency graphs, Gantt charts, Kanban boards, backlogs, sprint management, calendars, estimation poker, and release management. Its strongest fit is an agile team that needs more than a basic task board, especially when sprint capacity, dependencies, and delivery flow need to stay connected.

The Community plan is free, includes all features, supports unlimited users, and can be self-hosted. Support is provided through GitHub issues. The Professional plan costs $149 per month and adds priority email support with a 48-hour SLA, update notifications, and migration guidance. Enterprise costs $499 per month and adds a 4-hour response SLA, phone support during business hours, a dedicated onboarding call, and custom branding.
