Our verdict on PlaidCloud Profitability & Cost Management
PlaidCloud Profitability & Cost Management converts ERP and other business data into allocated operating and net margins. It is designed for finance teams that need customer, product, and channel profitability, cost-to-serve analysis, and repeatable allocation during the close process. Teams can configure driver-based and activity-based rules, allocate OPEX across cost centers, reconcile results to the general ledger, and examine margins by customer, product, channel, region, and entity.
The Free plan includes one builder, unlimited viewers, 15 GB of storage, one workspace, 100 workflow runs per month, and community support. Starter costs $800 per month billed annually or $900 billed monthly, with four builders, 50 GB of storage, 10,000 workflow runs per month, and email support. Team costs $5,000 per month billed annually or $6,000 billed monthly, adding 25 builders, 500 GB of storage, unlimited workflow runs, and SAML SSO. Business adds 100 builders, five terabytes of reserved storage, up to five workspaces, and premium connectors. Enterprise adds unlimited builders, five terabytes plus multi-region storage, unlimited workspaces, and a dedicated or customer-provided cluster option. A seven-day trial requires a card.
Integration breadth suits organizations with established ERP estates: supported systems include SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP PaPM, SAP PCM, Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, Infor, and JD Edwards, alongside 140 integrations overall. Live profit dashboards, cost-trend drill-back, AI-assisted margin analysis, and allocation traceability provide depth beyond basic reporting. Deployment spans cloud and self-hosted environments, including the PlaidCloud Firewall option, with web and API access. SOC 2, HIPAA, SAML SSO, and two-factor authentication are specified. Choose PlaidCloud when allocation governance and multidimensional profitability justify its configuration and paid-tier costs; smaller teams with simpler allocation needs may prefer a lighter tool.
