Our verdict on Piano Files
Piano Files is an online shop for digital sheet music for piano, organ and other keyboard instruments. Its catalogue covers individual pieces, collections, studies and teaching methods from publishers, making it relevant to keyboard players who want to buy specific scores rather than subscribe to a general music service. Catalogue search helps shoppers browse titles, while sample pages are available for selected scores. It is a focused purchasing option, not a place to read or annotate scores in an app.
The purchase model is straightforward: titles are priced individually, rather than through a recurring access plan. After purchase, customers receive email links for immediate PDF downloads. The site says each purchased book can be downloaded to up to five personal devices, and scores can be printed at home. This suits players who want to keep local files or work from printed pages; it is less fitting for buyers seeking an ongoing subscription or an included free library. Sample pages on selected listings can help with a purchase decision, though they are not described as available for every score.
Piano Files is best suited to solo players, teachers or small-scale keyboard settings that need downloadable scores from a dedicated keyboard catalogue. Its web storefront handles browsing and buying, with saved files providing offline access after download. Buyers looking for integrated score reading, annotation tools or broader platform support should consider a separate product, since Piano Files is described as a store rather than a score app. Choose it for title-by-title PDF purchases and home printing; look elsewhere if the core need is managing or reading scores within a dedicated digital workspace.
