Our verdict on Phil Chester Presets
Phil Chester Presets is a paid library of downloadable editing tools for photographers working in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Its catalog includes the P.S. Presets collaboration, Essential Pack, Editorial Preset Collection, and DayDreamer Pack, with styles that cover clean and timeless treatments, film-inspired color, and black-and-white photography. The collection is especially suited to wedding and commercial photographers who want a defined visual direction across image sets, while the separate P.S. Video LUTs pack extends the catalog to video editors.
Platform fit is a clear strength. Lightroom and Photoshop users receive preset support for desktop workflows, while the P.S. collection includes a DNG option for Lightroom Mobile. Digital delivery keeps the products oriented toward downloadable assets rather than a broader editing application or service. The Essential Pack includes 16 presets, and the wider catalog combines individual packs, collections, mobile files, and video LUTs. The LUT pack contains 8 unique LUTs and supports video editing software.
The main consideration is catalog availability: the P.S. Presets and P.S. Video LUTs products are currently marked sold out, even though their catalog and product pages remain available. Buyers should also distinguish between photo presets and video LUTs, since they serve different editing workflows. Phil Chester Presets is a good fit for Adobe users seeking curated wedding, commercial, editorial, film-inspired, or monochrome treatments. Photographers looking for a broader editing platform, non-Adobe workflow support, or established commercial licensing terms should consider alternatives with those priorities.
