PeopleHR is a cloud-based HR platform for small and medium-sized businesses. It brings together centralised employee records, document management, absence and time-off requests, onboarding, performance management, timesheets, reporting and employee self-service. Employees can access personal information, request leave and use mobile HR access, while managers can handle approvals and attendance workflows across web, iOS and Android.
The published monthly plans are priced per user in GBP. Starter costs GBP 3 per user per month and includes HR essentials, employee records, document management, absence tracking, a mobile app and an AI-powered HR assistant. Core costs GBP 5.50 and adds onboarding, expenses management, e-signatures, employee communication tools, and reward and recognition. Pro costs GBP 8 and adds performance management, timesheets and a custom survey builder. Elite+ costs GBP 9.50 and adds customisable and automated workflows, automated processes and advanced analytics. A 14-day free trial is available, and annual discounts are mentioned without a stated price.
PeopleHR’s main strength is breadth across day-to-day HR administration, employee access and manager workflows, with an open HR API for organisations that need programmatic access. Mobile approvals, reporting and self-service extend the system beyond a basic employee database. The tier structure makes Starter suitable for teams focused on core records and absence, while growing organisations can add onboarding, performance, time tracking and workflow automation as requirements expand. Teams wanting those advanced capabilities at the lowest tier should look elsewhere; PeopleHR is better suited to buyers comfortable selecting a paid plan based on the HR functions they need.
