Our verdict on PDFix

PDFix is a mobile PDF editor for iPhone, iPad, and Android. It is suited to people who scan paper documents, import photos, create multi-page PDFs, and handle common document tasks from a mobile device. Its toolset covers text editing, annotation, signatures, PDF and Word conversion, page reordering, merging, splitting, compression, organization, protection, and unlocking. Optional on-device OCR can turn scanned documents into searchable PDFs.

The pricing structure is straightforward. A free tier includes daily operation limits and ads. The Monthly plan costs $3.99 per month and provides unlimited use of all 15 tools with no ads. The Yearly plan costs $20.99 per year and includes the same unlimited tool access and ad-free use. That makes the paid plans a fit for frequent mobile workflows, while occasional users can start with the free tier. The product listing also shows that store pricing may vary by region or channel.

PDFix’s clearest distinction is its mobile focus and local processing approach. Core PDF operations are handled on the device rather than through cloud file upload, while distribution is centered on the Apple App Store and Google Play. This combination suits users who want scanning, OCR, signing, and document organization in a phone or tablet workflow. It is less suitable for people who need a desktop PDF editor or a broader cross-platform setup. Choose PDFix for mobile-first document work; choose an alternative when desktop scope is central.
