Our verdict on PAYONE
PAYONE provides payment processing and merchant services for retailers, marketplaces and enterprise businesses. Its ecommerce offering suits European businesses that need a choice of hosted checkout, API integration or commerce-platform plugins. Payment links and QR-code creation also give merchants another way to collect payments beyond a shop checkout. The platform extends to in-person payments through terminals and point-of-sale solutions.
Integration options cover platforms including Shopware 6, Magento 2, WooCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud and PrestaShop, as well as a server-to-server REST API and client and server SDKs. Hosted checkout can redirect customers or use a single-payment-button mode; hosted tokenization supports embedded card checkout. The feature set includes recurring payments, subscription management, card-on-file tokenization, authorization, capture, cancellation and refunds. Marketplace split payments and escrow-secured payouts make PAYONE relevant to multi-party commerce, not just single-merchant checkout.
