ParadeDB is a PostgreSQL extension and search database for applications that need full-text, vector, faceted, or hybrid search over relational data. It is aimed at developers and teams that want search features inside PostgreSQL rather than a separate search service. SQL remains the query interface, while native PostgreSQL indexes connect search directly to application tables and transactional workflows.

The published plans cover several operating models. Community is free, open source, self-managed, single-node, and supported by the community. Cloud is fully managed with one-click deployments, while Enterprise adds read replica support, high availability, dedicated support, and an SLA. Enterprise pricing is custom, and the Cloud offering is listed as early access/coming soon. Teams should therefore match the edition to their deployment and operational requirements rather than treating the plans as interchangeable.

ParadeDB’s main strength is breadth within a PostgreSQL-centered design. BM25 full-text search, vector search, and hybrid ranking can work alongside facets, aggregations, filters, joins, highlighting, snippets, fuzzy matching, phrase and proximity queries, regex, and typo tolerance. That combination suits relational applications where search relevance and database queries need to coexist. Choose ParadeDB when PostgreSQL compatibility and hybrid search are central requirements. Teams needing a production-ready managed service immediately, or a multi-node Community deployment, should evaluate alternatives or consider the Enterprise path.
