PA Server Monitor is an on-premises, agentless monitoring product for Windows and Linux servers, network devices, and remote locations. It is aimed at teams that want centralized visibility into infrastructure without installing monitoring agents. The product tracks CPU, memory, disks, services, event logs, SNMP values, syslog, web pages, and ping response. It also provides web-accessible and scheduled reports, configurable alerts, maintenance schedules, inventory reporting, and remote monitoring across firewalls. Supported deployment and access options include Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, self-hosted environments, and an external HTTPS API.
Pricing is centered on per-device licensing. The Free edition can monitor one server or create 10 monitors with per-monitor licensing, including event log, ping, server time, and web page monitors. Lite costs $49 USD per monitored device as a one-time purchase and adds a perpetual license, LAN-based monitoring, and one year of support and maintenance. Pro costs $99 per monitored device one time, adds all monitors to the Lite model, and includes one year of support and maintenance. Ultra costs $125 per monitored device one time and supports monitoring anywhere with all monitors. Ultra Subscription costs $6 per monitored device per month, with support and maintenance included and on-premises deployment. A 30-day free trial is also available.
The main strength is breadth: PA Server Monitor combines server resources, network devices, SNMP traps, syslog, alerts, failover, inventory, reports, and custom monitoring through scripts and calculated-status monitors. Alert channels include email, SMS, PagerDuty, syslog, HTTP URL, desktop notifications, SNMP traps, and phone/SMS dialer. Choose it if perpetual licensing, agentless coverage, and Windows-based on-premises operation fit your environment. Teams seeking a cloud-hosted monitoring service should consider a different product.
