OVHcloud Load Balancer is a managed network service for distributing traffic across backend servers on OVHcloud infrastructure. It is designed for teams running websites, APIs, and other internet-facing applications that need HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, or UDP balancing without operating load-balancing infrastructure themselves. Layer 7 routing can use URLs, headers, cookies, or HTTP methods, while Layer 4 support covers TCP and UDP traffic. The service also includes automatic health checks, server failover, TLS termination, and SSL offloading.

Pricing is structured around three offers. Load Balancer Pack 1 costs $22.99 per month and includes 2 TB of traffic, a 99.5% SLA, free DV SSL certificates, HTTP2/HTTPS/TCP protocol support, and management through the OVHcloud Control Panel and API. Pack 2 costs $223.99 per month and raises included traffic to 20 TB, with a 99.9% SLA and 30 minutes of GRT. Load Balancer Dedicated includes 200 TB of traffic, a 99.9% SLA, 30 minutes of GRT, and service distribution across two dedicated servers. All three offers include free DV SSL certificates, SSL offloading, and HTTP2/HTTPS/TCP protocol support.

The strongest fit is for organizations already running workloads on OVHcloud Public Cloud instances, VPS, Dedicated Servers, or vRack, especially when global Anycast and multi-region deployment are priorities. Managed SSL/TLS certificates, including Let's Encrypt, vRack private-network connectivity, anti-DDoS protection, and Control Panel or API management add useful coverage for public applications. The main boundary is scale: the published category positioning limits backends to 10. Teams needing more backend capacity, a free entry tier, or a broader provider ecosystem should consider an alternative. OVHcloud Load Balancer suits cost-conscious teams that want managed multi-region traffic distribution within the OVHcloud environment.
