Our verdict on Opus1
Opus1 is a web-based school management platform for music and performing arts organizations. It brings private and group lesson scheduling together with family self-booking for lessons, trials, and makeups. Staff can manage student and guardian profiles, attendance, payment history, teacher availability, communications, and recurring lesson payment plans, while families access schedules, payments, messages, and account information through a portal. Its strongest fit is a school that needs more than a calendar and wants scheduling, administration, payments, and recital planning in one system.
The published plans are organized by active-student capacity and service limits. Starter supports up to 200 active students and up to 50 services. Growth supports up to 500 active students with unlimited services, while Ultimate supports up to 1,000 active students with unlimited services. All three plans include a custom URL, free migration support, and premium support. Google Login is included with Growth and Ultimate, and Opus1 Payments is listed with Starter. There is no free plan, so smaller organizations should compare the included capacity and payment features carefully before choosing a tier.
