OptoSoft brings patient records, appointment scheduling, prescription management, and optical retail operations into one system. Its records cover case histories, examination findings, and spectacle and contact-lens prescriptions; reminders can support appointments and renewals. The free plan is aimed at practices that need patient records and prescription management, while the broader feature set makes the product relevant to optical retailers and practices handling inventory and billing alongside care. Its web, iOS, and Android platforms give practices several access options, and the vendor also offers a self-hosted plan.

Optical retail operations are a notable part of the product rather than an add-on limited to basic stock lists. Frame and lens inventory supports barcode scanning, while prescription-linked POS billing connects prescriptions with work orders and invoices. Multi-location management includes stock transfers, and supplier tools cover purchase orders and shipment tracking. WhatsApp and SMS support patient communications, while sales, inventory, and patient-retention analytics provide operational reporting. A REST API is also listed for technical integration. Practices seeking diagnosis coding or electronic claim transmission should look elsewhere, since OptoSoft does not provide those functions.

The published plans show a free tier for records and prescription management, an India Only plan at INR 6,000 per store annually, and an International plan at USD 399 per store annually. India Only adds unlimited staff accounts, India SMS integration, extended phone support, and automatic daily backup; International includes unlimited users, cloud updates, and priority email support. Enterprise / On-Premise costs USD 3,999 one time and offers self-hosting, optional source code access, and white-label options. Practices should compare the annual cloud tiers with the one-time self-hosted option based on their deployment needs. OptoSoft fits teams wanting optical retail workflows as well as practice records, but not those requiring claims or diagnosis coding.
