Our verdict on Opscale

Opscale is an operations management platform for retail chains and other multi-location, shift-based businesses. It brings store opening and closing routines, merchandising standards, stock checks, promotion rollouts, audits, scheduling, communications, and operational requests into one system. Managers can assign tasks by role and shift, collect photo, note, and signature evidence, review corrective actions, and monitor activity across locations. Access is available through web, iOS, and Android apps, making it suited to retailers coordinating frontline work across multiple stores.

Pricing is organized by location, with monthly and annual billing. Starter costs $99 per location per month or $990 per location per year and includes task management, checklists, templates, shift scheduling, mobile access, notifications, and email support. Growth costs $149 per location per month or $1,490 per location per year, adding service requests, an announcement wall, an operations library, real-time chat, and inspections. Scale costs $249 per location per month or $2,490 per location per year, adding an executive dashboard, AI checklist creation, custom permissions, an audit trail, and assisted onboarding. There is no free plan, and a free trial is available without a stated duration or credit card requirement.

The product’s strongest fit is for retailers that need broad operational control rather than a narrow checklist tool. Its feature set connects recurring workflows with proof capture, audits, corrective actions, attendance, communication, and real-time reporting. The main tradeoff is cost structure: retailers pay for each location, while higher-value controls such as custom permissions and audit trails sit in the top tier. Smaller retailers with one location, limited operational complexity, or a preference for per-user pricing may find the platform broader than necessary. Multi-location teams that need standardized execution across stores are the clearest audience.
