Our verdict on OPREG Practice

OPREG Practice is a cloud-based legal practice management platform for South African law firms, serving sole practitioners through larger teams. Its scope covers client intake, onboarding, FICA screening, risk scoring, matter lifecycle management, billable time, invoicing, payment tracking, financial reporting, trust accounting, compliance calendars and POPIA audit logs. The web platform is designed for litigation, conveyancing, commercial, family, estate, criminal and labour practices. Firms that want compliance and accounting workflows alongside core matter management are the clearest fit.

The paid product includes a 30-day trial and three user-based plans. Solo supports 1–2 users with a client onboarding portal, FICA workflows, matter management, invoicing and payment tracking. Small Firm supports up to 5 users and adds a shared firm dashboard, team collaboration, multi-user matter management and centralised compliance reporting. Growing Firm extends those team features to up to 15 users. The published plan information supports a clear progression by firm size, while features such as time tracking, payment tracking, reporting, calendar reminders and client update links address day-to-day administration.
