Our verdict on OPENPASS
OPENPASS is a free, open-source event platform for organizers and community event teams that want to publish, manage, and operate events under their own hosting setup. It combines a public event calendar and searchable discovery with branded event pages, custom registration forms, ticketing, QR-code check-in, analytics, notifications, and CSV exports. Organizers can also create custom organizer pages and manage events through authenticated routes. A list-only mode supports teams that want to direct visitors to an existing registration site rather than run registration through OPENPASS.
The product’s strongest area is event operations. Custom forms support registration, while QR-code tickets and check-in connect attendee access with live registration, check-in, and capacity analytics. Bulk notifications and CSV export add practical tools for communicating with attendees and handling event data.
