OpenCloud is an open-source file storage and collaboration platform for organizations that want to run storage on their own infrastructure or use services from partners. It is aimed at public authorities, education, research, businesses and service providers. Team Spaces provide shared files and permissions, while desktop and mobile clients support automatic synchronization and offline access. File version history and recovery, full-text search, sharing controls and resumable uploads address day-to-day file management needs. The Community Edition is self-hosted and free, making the product relevant to teams that want to start without a subscription.

Pricing scales by subscription tier. The Community Edition is the open-source self-hosted version. Basic costs €2 per user per month, billed monthly, and adds production releases, long-term support releases and community support. Professional costs €4 per user per month and includes Basic features, email support 9/5 with an SLA, password policy and GDPR export. Premium costs €8 per user per month, adding Professional features, 24/7 telephone support with an SLA, multi-tenancy and a custom logo. The pricing page describes these as monthly per-user price examples, with individual conditions for smaller and larger environments. Teams should compare the support and operational terms as well as the listed subscription prices.

Its feature set suits organizations that need more than simple file syncing: full-text search with filters and tags, access-controlled sharing, files-on-demand and WebDAV network-drive integration are included, alongside integrations with Collabora, S3 storage, Prometheus and Grafana. Real-time document collaboration is provided through office integrations, so teams looking for built-in editing without an integration may prefer a different fit. OpenCloud is a stronger match for organizations willing to manage a self-hosted deployment and that value control over files, Spaces and permissions; teams seeking a hands-off storage service should look elsewhere. Choose a paid tier when its release cadence or support SLA is important.
