A broad, self-hosted office suite with free Community access and a costly Enterprise tier.

ONLYOFFICE Docs is an open-source office editing suite for individuals, teams, organizations, and developers. It provides online editors for text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, fillable forms, and PDFs, with support for real-time co-editing, comments and mentions, track changes, version history, document comparison, and document combining. Its self-hosted deployment model makes it a fit for organizations that want control over how office editing is deployed, while desktop and mobile applications extend coverage across Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android.
The editions create a clear divide between free access and commercial licensing. Community is free to download under an AGPL v3 license and is recommended for up to 20 users. Enterprise starts at $1,500 per license, with online editors for documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and PDFs, 50 simultaneous connections shown on the pricing page, and one-year or lifetime commercial license options. The published plans also include a Developer edition for integrating the editors into customer-facing services. According to the vendor's pricing page, Enterprise pricing can be configured around hosting, connection limits, license duration, support, and updates rather than a single recurring per-user monthly price.
Platform and ecosystem coverage are major strengths. ONLYOFFICE Docs supports web, desktop, mobile, API, and self-hosted deployments, and integrates with Box, Moodle, Nextcloud, Odoo, WordPress, ownCloud, SharePoint, Alfresco, Confluence, Jira, Redmine, and Strapi. Its feature set also includes plugins and AI-assisted editing. Organizations should pick it when self-hosting, broad office-file coverage, and collaboration or review workflows matter. Teams seeking a lower-cost commercial deployment should weigh the Enterprise license carefully, while developers embedding editors into customer-facing services should consider the Developer edition.
