Our verdict on OneEstimate
OneEstimate is browser-based estimating software tailored to HVAC contractors and small construction teams. Its assemblies cover equipment, ductwork, insulation, refrigerant, diffusers, and grilles, while plan takeoff converts measured quantities into estimate line items. Users can upload PDF or image plans, calibrate scale, measure duct runs, count fixtures and equipment, edit labor and material costs, and organize estimates by zone, floor, or equipment. Branded PDF proposals and Excel export extend the workflow beyond takeoff.
The pricing structure starts with a permanent Free plan that allows one takeoff per project. START costs $19 per month, billed monthly, and includes two estimates with one takeoff per project. PRO costs $49 per month and adds AI access, Excel import, PDF download and Excel export, plus four takeoffs per project with revisions. BUSINESS costs $99 per month and adds digital estimate approval, proposal open tracking, unlimited takeoff and reports, and IFC import for BIM connections. This gives solo users and small teams a way to begin without payment, then add collaboration and document features as requirements grow.
Takeoff is the product’s central workflow: measured duct runs and counted components feed editable HVAC assemblies, where labor, productivity quantities, equipment costs, and material costs can be updated. AI can suggest HVAC line items and generate line-item cost breakdowns. The web-only deployment keeps access browser-based, while IFC/BIM import is the listed ecosystem connection. Teams needing broader integrations, native desktop access, or more generous takeoff allowances on entry plans may prefer another tool; HVAC-focused teams seeking low-cost estimating and proposal output are the clearest fit.
