OneAsiaHost review
Unmanaged Linux VPS plans with strong control, fast storage, and bandwidth choices.

OneAsiaHost provides unmanaged KVM virtual private servers hosted in Singapore. It is designed for solo, small, and mid-market customers running websites, databases, APIs, VPNs, or other custom software. Linux distributions are supported, with FreeBSD and other custom ISO requests possible. Full root access, custom kernel support, and automatic provisioning give technically capable operators control over their server environment, while the unmanaged model means customers handle configuration and backups themselves.
The published monthly plans span metered and unlimited-transfer options. SGKVM-2G costs $10 per month for 1 vCPU core, 2 GB RAM, 60 GB SSD storage, 5 TB bandwidth, and a 10 Gbps uplink. SGKVM-4G is $20 for 2 vCPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD storage, and 10 TB bandwidth. SGKVM-8G costs $40 for 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 160 GB SSD storage, and 20 TB bandwidth. Unlimited-bandwidth plans start with SGKVM-100MBPS at $50 for 2 vCPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD storage, and a 100 Mbps port, followed by $175 SGKVM-500MBPS and $250 SGKVM-1000MBPS tiers.
Its strongest fit is a Linux administrator who values KVM isolation, NVMe-backed storage, root control, and the ability to request custom images or kernels. The 10 Gbps uplink on metered plans and unlimited-transfer choices address different traffic patterns. However, this is a self-managed service with ticket-only support, and the deployment scope is centered on Linux and self-hosted use. Customers wanting managed operations, broader platform coverage, or hands-off backups should consider an alternative provider.
OneAsiaHost pros and cons
- Where it wins
- KVM virtualization with hardware isolation and full root access
- NVMe SSD storage over Ceph with automatic provisioning
- Metered 10 Gbps or unlimited-transfer bandwidth plans
- Where it doesn't
- Unmanaged service leaves software setup and backups to customers
- Support is available through tickets only
- Plans target Linux and self-hosted deployments rather than broad platforms
