OnAir 4K is Jet-Stream’s browser-based cloud encoder for professional live streaming. It is designed for events, education, sports, music, reporting, gaming, broadcasters, and organizations that want to start broadcasts from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari without installing encoder software. Inputs include webcams, microphones, professional cameras, and studio mixers. The service supports capture up to 4K, live transcoding with profiles up to 4K, HLS, DASH, and Icecast output, an HTML5 player, and real-time streaming statistics.
The published plans cover several operating models. Trial costs €97 one-time and includes one month of Jet-Stream Cloud testing plus 30 minutes of free expert consulting. Basic targets small radio, small business, local sports, and faith organizations; Pro is aimed at online video, small broadcasters, small publishers, and professional streaming; Enterprise serves enterprises, education, government, and medium broadcasters. These three tiers include bundled storage, traffic, transcoding, player, and analytics. Broadcaster is intended for OTT, sports, publishers, and broadcasters, with wholesale storage, transcoding, and CDN rates. Paid package pricing requires a quote, and there is no free plan.
Its strongest distinction is the combination of browser-based production and cloud delivery. Teams can switch sources, add overlays and scenes, use redundant encoding, and distribute through adaptive multi-CDN streaming without configuring a local encoder. Integration options include OBS, Wirecast, vMix, Elemental, LiveU, Atem, Kiloview, Teradek, TriCaster, Haivision, Twitch, and YouTube, while the OnAir SDK supports integration work. OnAir 4K suits teams prioritizing 4K browser capture and managed streaming infrastructure. Teams needing a native desktop encoder or fully transparent package pricing should consider alternatives.
