Our verdict on Omni
Omni brings news and perspectives from multiple media outlets into one service, aimed at Swedish readers who want a consolidated feed rather than updates from a single publisher. Its newsroom summarizes developments and links to source reporting, while readers can customize their news mix, follow topics and stories, and receive alerts. The free base service covers concise news updates; the service is available on web, iOS and Android.
The clearest distinction between free and paid use is Omni Mer. Its membership adds in-depth explanatory reporting and selected international publication content, and unlocks some linked articles that are normally behind paywalls. That access is selective, not a promise that every linked article will open. The listed plans are Omni Mer Bas, Omni Mer and Superpaketet: the first two include Omni Mer content, while Omni Mer also includes ad-free Omni and an extra account. Superpaketet bundles Omni Mer with SvD, Aftonbladet Plus and Podme. This makes the higher package more relevant to readers who want those named services alongside Omni.
Omni is a fit for readers who value summaries, multiple perspectives and a feed shaped around their interests, especially if explanatory coverage or bundled publications justify a membership. Readers who want a single publication's complete archive, or expect membership to unlock all outside paywalls, should compare alternatives carefully. Pricing is presented as a starting monthly equivalent for annual subscriptions, with an option to choose annual or monthly membership at the next step; the displayed offer includes a free first month and may be promotion-specific. The published starting price is 99, so buyers should check the current offer and billing choice before subscribing.
