Our verdict on Olive Tree Bible App

Olive Tree Bible App is a cross-platform reading and study app for people who want to read, listen to, and explore the Bible. It supports Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with multiple translations, free books and Bibles, and more than 100 free resources. Readers can create customizable plans with reminders and completion goals, then add notes, highlights, bookmarks, and cross-device syncing. Audio Bibles are available for streaming and offline listening, making the app suitable for both structured study and everyday reading.

The free offering gives readers a substantial starting point, while the paid structure adds specialized study material. The app has a freemium model, a seven-day free trial, and a Starter Pack displayed at $2.99 USD. That pack includes a Resource Guide, reading plans, maps, commentary and study notes, cross references, and a dictionary. Olive Tree also sells books, Bibles, audio resources, and subscription-based study packs separately, so buyers should expect the free collection and paid resources to serve different needs. Readers who want deeper reference material can choose paid additions, while those satisfied with free texts may not need them.

Its standout strength is the combination of reading and study workflows in one app. Parallel reading, keyword and phrase search, the Resource Guide, notes, highlights, and syncing support a more organized approach than a basic text reader. Offline downloads extend that experience to audio and other content across supported platforms. The tradeoff is focus: this is designed for Bible reading and study, not general reading instruction or a broad-purpose reading library. Choose Olive Tree for Bible plans, study references, and listening across devices; choose another reading app if your priority is wider book coverage or general reading development.
