Okmeter review
A low-cost monitoring platform with broad database coverage and practical alerting.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Sep 2026
Okmeter is an infrastructure and database monitoring platform for teams that need operational visibility across servers, applications, and databases. Its agent collects metrics for dashboards, drill-down charts, and alert triggers. Database coverage includes query execution, latency, connections, transactions, waits, locks, resource usage, and PostgreSQL replication. It supports MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis through web and Linux deployments.
Pricing is structured by server and billed monthly. The Hacker plan costs $5 per server per month and includes basic metrics, one week of retention, and email notifications. Lite costs $19 and adds SMS notifications and email support while retaining one week of data. Standard costs $25 and adds two months of retention, Slack integration, SMS and email notifications, and email support. Enterprise includes one year of retention, Slack, Jira, and custom integrations, SAML single sign-on, and 24/7 support. A free plan is not included, while managed on-premises deployment is available alongside hosted service.
The main strength is breadth within a relatively focused monitoring workflow: Okmeter combines database signals with CPU, disk, memory, buffer, autovacuum, checkpointer, and background-writer monitoring. Automatic service and technology detection can support initial discovery, while integrations with Slack, Jira, Grafana, Prometheus-compatible exporters, and StatsD extend its operational fit. The trade-off is that the entry plan is limited to basic metrics, and short retention applies to Hacker and Lite. Okmeter suits teams seeking affordable, multi-database monitoring with alerts; teams requiring verified execution-plan analysis should choose another tool.
