odrive review
A capable multi-service sync layer for organizations willing to pay for consolidation.

odrive connects multiple cloud and file-storage services to desktop file browsers, making remote files available through synchronization, placeholders, and offline access. It is aimed at organizations consolidating services such as Procore, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Autodesk, and S3-compatible storage. Windows and macOS clients cover desktop use, while the headless Sync Agent and CLI extend support to Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Pricing is paid-only after a 30-day Free Trial, which includes Full Procore integration, Project and Company Documents, Unlimited projects, Offline sync, and no credit card requirement. The Standard plan costs $20 per user per month or $200 per user per year and adds Infinite Sync, selective sync and pinning, two-way sync, offline access, automatic conflict handling, and priority email support. Enterprise includes unlimited users, unlimited projects and data, Server Sync, SharePoint Sync, a dedicated account manager, and custom onboarding and training. The annual Standard price makes odrive more suitable for organizations with a clear consolidation need than for casual storage users.
Its strongest capability is control over how connected storage appears locally: placeholder files support on-demand downloads, selective unsyncing can reclaim disk space, and folder pinning supports offline work. Backup retains prior versions, while weblinks and collaborative Spaces cover sharing. File-server synchronization, SharePoint synchronization, organization administration, and the CLI broaden its business use. It does not provide its own storage quota, and Procore storage limits still apply. Choose odrive when multi-service synchronization and desktop access are priorities; choose another storage service when you need a free plan, provider-owned storage, or a simpler single-service setup.
