NOC-PS is a self-hosted virtual appliance for service providers managing physical dedicated servers and virtual machines. It combines PXE network booting, automated operating-system installation, host management, provisioning status monitoring, rescue and utility system booting, and remote power control. Its supported virtualization platforms include VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, and Proxmox. The product is aimed at teams operating their own server infrastructure and provisioning workflows rather than organizations seeking a hosted provisioning service.
Pricing is volume-based and billed annually. The 1-100 servers plan costs €100 per 100 servers per year, while the 101-200 through 701-800 servers plans cost €200 through €800 per 100 servers per year. Each listed paid tier includes updates and e-mail-only support. NOC-PS also has a free plan, including a feature-limited Lite edition for Raspberry Pi, and a free one-month evaluation license. Prices exclude 21% VAT, and pricing above 1,000 servers is contact-based. This structure suits providers that can align their deployment with server-volume tiers and prefer an annual license.
The main technical strength is its combination of provisioning and out-of-band management. NOC-PS can work with MAC addresses, IP addresses, and hostnames, while supporting IPMI, BMC, iLO, DRAC, Redfish, and Intel AMT for remote power operations. An XML-RPC API enables third-party integrations, with official modules for Hostbill and Blesta. Choose NOC-PS if you need self-hosted control across dedicated and virtual servers, PXE installation, and hardware-level management. Consider another option if you need broader ecosystem integrations, managed hosting, or support beyond e-mail on paid plans.
