Our verdict on Neurotechnology VeriLook

Neurotechnology VeriLook is a self-hosted facial identification SDK for developers and system integrators building standalone or client-server biometric applications. It supports 1-to-1 face verification, 1-to-many identification, liveness detection, simultaneous multiple-face processing, partially occluded faces, image quality assessment, facial attributes, age estimation, face morph detection, and near-infrared and visible-light matching. The product fits small, mid-market, and enterprise teams working across Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android, with development support for C/C++, C#, Visual Basic .NET, Java, and Python.

Pricing is structured around one-time SDK licenses rather than per-user subscriptions. The Standard SDK costs €339 and includes Face Matcher and Face Extractor component licenses, programming samples and tutorials, the Device Manager library, and software documentation. The Extended SDK costs €859 and adds an extended licensing option plus Matching Server components. An Enterprise license is also available. A 30-day SDK trial provides a path for evaluation before purchase, while the published prices exclude local taxes and import duties. There is no free plan.

VeriLook’s main strength is the breadth of its biometric processing capabilities within a self-hosted SDK. Teams can combine liveness, verification, identification, quality assessment, spoof-related face morph detection, and attribute analysis in applications that need more than a basic face match. Database connectivity includes Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQLite, which supports common application architectures. Choose VeriLook when you want fixed-cost licensing, broad platform support, and control over deployment. Consider another option if you need a free tier or require Matching Server components within the lower-priced Standard SDK.
