NetPol is a self-hosted network monitoring application for OT, SCADA and industrial environments. It is designed for teams that need visibility into managed switches across Cisco-first, multi-vendor networks. The product provides SNMP v2c polling, real-time status views, configurable alarms, CDP and LLDP topology mapping, and SSH-based configuration backup, diff and restore. Local installations are available for Windows, macOS and Linux, with an optional multi-site dashboard that can be cloud-hosted or self-hosted.

Pricing is structured by node and billed monthly. The Lite plan costs AUD 1,000 per node per month and includes SNMP v2c polling, a real-time dashboard, alarm management and email support. Medium costs AUD 1,500 per node per month, adding topology maps, configuration backup and diff, a full reporting suite and priority support. Pro costs AUD 2,000 per node per month and adds multi-client profiles, a poll class system, PingPlot per-hop monitoring, VLAN management, and priority and phone support. Enterprise Dashboard provides multi-site central visibility with cloud-hosted or self-hosted deployment. A seven-day free trial is available.

NetPol’s strongest fit is network infrastructure monitoring where air-gapped operation, topology, configuration control and local deployment matter. Its feature set stays centered on managed-switch monitoring and operational network administration. The published product scope describes SNMP, CDP, LLDP, SSH and syslog support, but not passive packet inspection or a dedicated SIEM integration. That makes NetPol a practical choice for switch-focused infrastructure teams, while organizations seeking broader OT security monitoring should look for a platform with deeper security analytics and ecosystem connectivity.

NetPol pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Real-time SNMP v2c switch monitoring with alarms
    • CDP and LLDP topology mapping
    • Offline and air-gapped operation
  • Where it doesn't
    • Starts at AUD 1,000 per node per month
    • Focused on switch monitoring rather than packet inspection
    • No dedicated SIEM integration is documented
