Netdata review
A low-cost observability platform with per-second metrics and broad infrastructure coverage.

Netdata is a distributed observability platform for operations teams, system administrators, DevOps engineers, and SREs. It collects infrastructure metrics at one-second resolution and covers logs, applications, services, virtual machines, containers, and network devices. Agents collect and store data locally, while Netdata Cloud provides unified dashboards, centralized alerts, access control, collaboration, and AI-assisted troubleshooting. Deployment options include standalone, cloud-connected, SaaS, on-premises, and self-hosted environments across Linux, Windows, macOS, and container environments.
Pricing is structured around a free Community plan, a Business plan, and Enterprise On-Premise. Community supports up to 5 active connected nodes, one active custom dashboard per room, centralized alert visualization, and cloud access with data stored on-premises. Business is listed at $4.50 per node per month with annual billing and adds unlimited metrics and logs, unlimited custom dashboards, unlimited data retention, Netdata AI, RBAC, SSO, and SCIM. Enterprise On-Premise starts at 200 node licenses, supports fully on-premises deployment and air-gapped facilities, and offers priority support plans.
Netdata fits teams that want detailed infrastructure visibility without limiting monitoring to a single environment. Its integrations include OpenTelemetry, SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and PagerDuty. The platform also combines anomaly detection, AI troubleshooting, centralized notifications, custom dashboards, and collaboration with local metric and log storage. The main trade-offs are the Community node limit, annual billing for the Business tier, and the 200-license starting point for Enterprise On-Premise. Choose Netdata for per-second monitoring across infrastructure, services, VMs, containers, and network devices; consider another option if those plan boundaries do not fit your deployment.

- Where it doesn't
- Community supports up to 5 active connected nodes
- Business pricing uses annual billing and per-node charges
- Enterprise On-Premise starts at 200 node licenses
