NetCrunch review
A broad network monitoring platform whose bandwidth coverage is part of a wider toolkit.

NetCrunch is an agentless network monitoring system for IT teams overseeing on-premises, virtualized, cloud, and IoT infrastructure. It discovers devices through Active Directory, ICMP, SNMP, and network scans, then brings availability, performance, traffic, services, logs, cloud resources, and configurations into one monitoring platform. Web and Windows consoles, live dashboards, graphical views, and bandwidth overlays make it relevant to teams that need more than a focused bandwidth monitor.
Its strongest fit is breadth. NetCrunch automatically generates routing maps and Layer 2 physical topology views using STP, Cisco CDP, LLDP, and SNMP forwarding tables. It also supports SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3, traps and notifications, syslog, Windows events, web messages, remote text logs, alert correlation, escalation actions, and integrations with ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Slack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365, Zoom, REST API, and webhooks. That combination suits distributed environments where bandwidth visibility needs to sit alongside infrastructure discovery, topology, event monitoring, and operational workflows.
Pricing is available as a NetCrunch Platform subscription at $1,900 per year, including Alerting, L2 topology, NetFlow, and Dashboards. The NetCrunch Platform perpetual option costs $3,450 one time and provides the same platform as the subscription model. A 30-day free trial is available. Choose NetCrunch if your priority is broad infrastructure monitoring with bandwidth overlays and topology context. Teams seeking a narrowly focused bandwidth product may prefer a tool with deeper bandwidth-specific capabilities and less emphasis on the wider monitoring stack.
NetCrunch pros and cons

- Automated discovery across Active Directory, ICMP, SNMP, and network scans
- Routing and Layer 2 topology maps show logical and physical connections
- Agentless monitoring with dashboards, logs, alerts, and broad integrations
- Where it doesn't
- Bandwidth monitoring is not the platform's primary focus
- On-premises deployment may require more infrastructure planning
- The subscription starts at $1,900 per year
