NetAttest EPS is a self-hosted network access authentication solution for enterprises and public-sector organizations. It combines RADIUS authentication, private certificate authority capabilities, MAC address authentication and optional one-time-password authentication. Access policies can cover wired LAN, Wi-Fi and VPN connections, with 802.1X support for access points and switches. The product is designed for organizations that need certificate-based controls across several network access types rather than a narrow single-environment tool.

Its deployment and ecosystem options suit organizations with existing infrastructure teams. NetAttest EPS supports physical and on-premises virtual appliances, along with appliance models for AWS Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines. It can connect to external LDAP, Active Directory and RADIUS proxy environments, and optional cloud management is available through Soliton OneGate. Primary/replica redundancy, configuration backup and restore, VLAN switching based on authentication results, and guest-account support add operational controls for larger or more distributed deployments.

The standout capability is its certificate-focused approach. The private CA includes certificate issuance, revocation, SCEP, Web enrollment, OCSP and certificate revocation lists, while authentication supports PAP, CHAP, MS-CHAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-PEAP and EAP-TTLS. Group-profile-based access control and MAC authentication provide additional policy choices when certificate authentication is not suitable. According to the vendor's pricing information, purchase consultation or a sales partner is required, and a free-trial route is offered. Organizations seeking centralized certificate and network authentication across wired, wireless and VPN access should consider NetAttest EPS; teams needing a simpler, narrower access-control deployment may prefer a less expansive appliance.
