NetAlly Link-Live review
A free cloud service for mapping networks and managing NetAlly test results.

NetAlly Link-Live is a platform for collecting, analyzing, and reporting network test results, aimed at network managers, engineers, technicians, installers, and IT teams. Its strongest fit is field work built around compatible NetAlly testers: the service brings discovery results, topology views, monitoring, surveys, and tester management into a shared workflow. A free cloud service makes it accessible for teams that want to organize test activity without starting with a paid offering.
For topology work, Link-Live combines automated wired and Wi-Fi mapping with discovery monitoring and change detection. It can draw on NetAlly testers, SNMP, ARP, CDP/LLDP, and Nmap, and includes path analysis plus labeling for assets and cable or wall-jack locations. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth/BLE survey heatmaps extend it beyond device relationships into site-survey reporting. Teams can export topology reports as PDF, CSV, or SVG. That breadth makes it useful when discovery and field-test records belong together, rather than when the sole need is a vendor-neutral topology tool.
The cloud service is free, while advanced capabilities and private deployment are available through separate NetAlly offerings or support subscriptions; according to the vendor's description, some advanced features depend on AllyCare Pro or other subscriptions. The platform supports cloud and self-hosted deployment, with phone, ticket, and documentation support, but not 24/7 support. Choose Link-Live if NetAlly tester management and test-result collection are part of the mapping workflow. Teams seeking broad appeal beyond NetAlly-focused workflows, or those requiring always-on support, should consider alternatives.
